It’s time to think about where the theory of Bonjwa started.

The word “Bonjwa” first came around when (Z) ‘s fans began calling him as such, after he beat (T) to win an OSL. But the theory of Bonjwa wasn’t around; it was just a nickname. Not a Bonjwa as we know it nowadays. The best Zerg? Something like that.

Although JulyZerg and (Z) beat a Terran for a championship, GoRush was weak against (T) and his dominance lasted little; and JulyZerg wasn’t valued high because the opponent was GoodFriend (he was also weak against (T) ).

. It was the age of the JulyZerg and GoRush duo. But Nada’s reverse sweep against GoRush at the round of 4 and shutout against JulyZerg at the final inflicted a lasting wound to Zerg fans, and Terran seemed insurmountable to Zerg.

And a surprise came when (Z) won the

Thereby came the beginning of the “Savior assessment theory.”

According to Reach, he is the fastest learner he has ever seen. He start bw only like 2/3 years ago. Infact, his bw history knowledge is so limited, he didn’t even know what the map Guillotine was.

Personally, I thought savior’s dominance was more rooted in his game management and star sense than anything else. Just about anyone who is even remotely considered bonjwa fits some of this criteria, after all.

Bisu came out of nowhere to win his first MSL. Flash was an unknown beating all kinds of people (including Bisu himself). Pretty much everyone who wins a starleague has made a splash on the scene – it’s just a matter of whether or not they stayed.

Better than the rest of your race? Wins on unfavorable maps?

These even fit today’s dominant players like Jaedong, Flash, and Bisu. All have been unquestionably the top of their race, and have found ways to reverse the trend on various maps (Jaedong and Flash on Katrina, for example). Jaedong is probably the best example here, since it’s taken other zergs ages to finally catch up to where he was at, and a lot of that has to do with zergs having maps in their favor now.

Savior was at about 69% for his span of 4 starleague wins and 2 MSL silvers.

Jaedong was also at 69% from EVER2007 to Bacchus 2009 (and surprisingly higher if you were to end it at Batoo instead). That’s also 4 starleague wins in almost exactly the same amount of time. He also won GOM Classic 1, WCG Korea, GOM’s special match vs Bisu, and had an MSL silver.

Flash is right at 70% from Bacchus to GOM Classic 3, and over 70% if you include his current streak. Of course, this only includes one starleague win and some GOM league ownage.

Bisu was actually a bit lower at 65% for his span of 3 Starleague wins, though his were over a slightly longer period of time (a little over 2 years, while the others are all a little under 2 years). He also won GOM Classic 2 during this time and had an MSL silver.

Bisu was 13-3 (1 loss to Jaedong, 1 loss to Flash).

Flash was 9-3 (2 of those losses to Jaedong).

These are ridiculous numbers when you consider that they’re happening at very much the same time as each other.

So yeah, I don’t think these are the factors that made savior bonjwa. Sure, it’s part stats, but it’s also feeling. Feeling in the same way star sense is feeling. When Savior played, you knew he was going to somehow find victory, regardless of what his opponent was doing at the time. Despite being one of the best and closest games of all time, it somehow wasn’t surprising when Savior beat Iris during Shinhan 3. That was what he did – he found victory no matter where it was hiding.

It’s that type of feeling where a player knows the game so well you sense as if he’d be no better if he were actually maphacking. Savior had it, and we’ve seen glimpses of that only a few times since (for me, a huge one was Jaedong’s comeback vs fantasy during Batoo).

Having said that, the stats I listed above are pretty crazy, and do merit discussion if we’re going to go along the path this poster would suggest.

It’s a title given by the community. Bonjwa arguments are worthless because if you’re arguing about whether or not someone is bonjwa, then they probably aren’t bonjwa. The difference between sAviOr and Jaedong is when sAviOr was dominating, that was it, no one could touch him and no one else was even close.

When Jaedong is dominating, so is FlaSh, so is Bisu, etc. Jaedong isn’t really alone, even though he might be above the others.

Am Freitag, den 5. November, ab 20 Uhr geht offiziell Haus an Haus in die Zweite Runde. Haus RBTV gegen Haus Bonjwa. Um uns gemeinsam aufzuwärmen, starten wir bereits um 19 Uhr mit einer Pre-Show. Gerne reinschalten!

Haus an Haus ist ein Event, bei dem zwei Teams in zwei verschiedenen Räumen über den Verlauf von 24 Stunden in unterschiedlichen Disziplinen gegeneinander antreten. Dieses Mal verzichten wir auf haus-interne-freundschaftliche-Rivalitäten und haben das Haus Bonjwa zum Duell aufgefordert. Die Teilnehmenden, die versuchen werden Ruhm und Ehre zu erlangen, sind:

  • Team Bonjwa: Shorty, Matteo, Leon und Edopeh
  • Team RBTV: Nasti, Simon, Gunnar und Krogi

Das 24h-Live-Event wird von den folgenden bezaubernden Caster*innen durchgehend kommentiert: Denzel, Eddy, Florentin, Gregor, Janina, Krane, Nils, Reinke, Steffen, Varion, Viet (Änderungen vorbehalten).

Mitfiebern könnt ihr entweder in unserem Livestream auf YouTube/Twitch oder im Livestream bei Bonjwa auf Twitch.

Regeln

Für dieses Haus an Haus haben wir uns für das progressive Punktesystem entschieden, welches ihr sicher auch von anderen Unterhaltungsshows kennt. Wer das erste Spiel für sich gewinnt, erhält einen Punkt, die Gewinner*innen des zweiten Spiels erhalten zwei Punkte, usw. Das ermöglicht uns die Spannung bei zu bewahren in dem wir das Ende offen halten, aber gleichzeitig das Event nicht unorganisch in die Länge ziehen.

Zusammengefasste Facts:

  • Es wird ein Schlafkonto für jedes Team geben. Sie können die Stunden individuell aufteilen, wie sie es möchten.
  • Essen werden die Teams im Shop kaufen können, aber es wird definitiv niemand verhungern – dafür wird gesorgt.
  • Unglücklicherweise haben unsere Teilnehmenden einen Bug, der sie immer wieder Harndrang bekommen lässt. Es freut euch sicher zu hören, dass wir sie so programmiert haben, dass sie selbstständig eine Toilette aufsuchen dürfen, wenn ihnen danach ist. Es muss weder erspielt, noch erfragt werden.
  • Kleine, letzte Randnotiz: Wir haben uns bei diesem Haus an Haus aus produktionstechnischen Gründen auf Teams aus vier Personen geeinigt.

Spiele

Es wird 24 Spieldisziplinen geben, die sich in zwei Kategorien aufteilen lassen:
Versus- und Speedrun-Spiele.

  • Versus-Diszplinen: Können entweder als 1 vs. 1 oder auch Team vs. Team vorkommen. Diese Spiele wurden den Teilnehmenden im Vorfeld kommuniziert, damit sie sich fair darauf vorbereiten können. Spiele, die in diese Kategorie fallen und im Vorfeld an die Teams kommuniziert wurden, sind: Gang Beasts, Landwirtschafts-Simulator 19, Laser League, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Mario Party Superstars, NBA Jam: On Fire Edition, Nidhogg 2, Overcooked 2, Splitgate, Super Bomberman R, Super Mario Maker 2, Rocket League, Tekken 7, TowerFall Ascension, Treadnauts.

  • Speedrun-Disziplinen: Die Uhr tickt. Welches Team schneller die Aufgabe löst, sackt die Punkte ein. Diese Spiele wurden vorher nicht an die Beteiligten kommuniziert.

Community Interaktionen

Wie beim ersten Haus an Haus wird es auch diesmal möglich sein im Vorfeld ein Team eurer Wahl zu wählen. Während des Livestreams wird es die Möglichkeit geben für dein ausgewähltes Team bestimmte Vorteile zu erspielen. Welches Spiel gespielt wird und was die Belohnung des Community-Spiels sein wird, ziehen unsere Caster*innen random aus einem Behälter. Insgesamt wird es 24-Community-Spiele geben. Um mitmachen zu können, müsst ihr folgende drei Dinge beachten:

1. Schritt:
Es wird ein Nutzer*innenkonto auf unserer Website rocketbeans.tv benötigt. Die Anmeldung geht schnell und schmerzfrei. Kein Newsletter, keine Werbung, kein Spam. Unsere AGB’s findest du hier.

2. Schritt:
Am Freitag wird auf der Startseite unserer Homepage ein Banner erscheinen, wo du einmalig dein Team wählen kannst.
Achtung! Hast du einmal ein Team gewählt, ist das nicht revidierbar. Teil des Schiffs, Teil der Crew! Wie das am Freitag auf der Homepage genau aussehen wird, könnt ihr aus dem Bild unter dieser Rubrik erkennen.

3. Schritt:
Um an den Interaktionen teilnehmen zu können, musst du ebenfalls auf unsere Webseite rocketbeans.tv gehen und auf den Joystick unter dem Stream klicken. Anschließend erscheint auf der linken Seite des Streams ein Fenster, wo die aktuelle Community-Interaktion eingeblendet wird.

Das Mitspielen ist nur mit einem Account und einem ausgewählten Team möglich, da wir Betrugsfälle vermeiden wollen.

Umgang mit Gästen

Wir haben mega Bock auf Haus an Haus und freuen uns auf alles, was kommt! Insbesondere auf unsere Freund*innen des Hauses, die unser 24-Stunden-Event vergolden: Das Team-Bonjwa, das von dem 1,50 m breiten Matteo, dem Speedy-Gonzalez-Leon, der Skill-Göttin-Shorty und dem Durchhalte-Talent-Edopeh vertreten werden wird.

Dazu die Bitte: Wir möchten, vor allem im Live-Chat sowie auf allen Kanälen, die ebenfalls von unseren Gästen verfolgt werden können, keine negativen Äußerungen über diejenigen lesen, die wir zu uns eingeladen haben. Wir haben Lust auf alle Beteiligten und erwarten, dass ihnen freundlich und offen begegnet wird und dass sie sich bei uns gut aufgehoben fühlen. I really wish that I could’ve finished this video, but I just didn’t have the time to do it. The project had been on pause for the last few months and I didn’t see it being finished anytime in the near future. The black parts of the video are missing clips that I didn’t finish editing yet. I was planning on adding a lot more 3D scenes throughout the video, but I never had the time. Editing for an amazing player such as BoNJwA was a great experience, and I really wish that I could’ve finished this video for him. However, I think you’ll still like what I have finished. Enjoy!
