[Update] Arteezy’s net worth in 2020 | artour babaev – Vietnamnhanvan

Dota 2 remains the most lucrative esports title for any player hoping to make it professional as a gamer and Arteezy is one of the best at the game. The almost annual The International tournament has consistently broken records on the most awarded prize money for an esports event. It’s a surefire way for any player to make it to the top of the earnings leaderboard with just one TI win. However, there’s a legendary player that somehow managed to make his name known despite the absence of a TI title.

Enter Arteezy

Artour “Arteezy” Babaev is a veteran Dota 2 player with a lot of wins under his belt. He has yet to claim the coveted Aegis of Champions but his record is not to be scoffed at. Arteezy, sometimes RTZ, currently ranks 22nd on the all-time player earnings leaderboard for Dota 2. He has taken home approximately $2,257,053.21 in earnings since debuting in 2013. So just how did this Canadian player rake in all that prize money?

Arteezy Top 5 Dota 2 Results by Cash Prize
  1. The International 2018 – $536,175.80
  2. The International 2019 – $240,310.40
  3. The International 2014 – $207,691.00
  4. The International 2015 – $165,866.52
  5. The International 2017 – $74,063.80

It’s partially because of the large prize pools that several Dota 2 tournaments put up. The primary reason for Arteezy’s massive earnings chest is the frequency of tournaments he’s attended. He has fought in a little over 100 tournaments both offline and online.

Evil Geniuses, Arteezy, Artour Babaev

Arteezy has fought under different team banners over the years, chief of which belongs to Team Secret and Evil Genuises. Arteezy has been known to go back-and-forth between Secret and EG for several years. Out of the around 100 events and tournaments, Arteezy has secured over 30 championship victories with various teams. When asked about his views on competition, the Canadian Dota 2 star had this to say.

“I think whenever I get into these games, first thing, I think you should always play to win, because playing to lose, you’re always going to hinder yourself. You play a bit scared. If you’re just playing because you don’t want to lose, you’re not using everything you have in your arsenal.”

Arteezy’s steadfast view on professional Dota 2 is what has helped him win so many tournaments and events. It is interesting to note that he has yet to take home even any Major championship wins. Evil Genuises managed to take home the crown at The International 2015 when he was not part of the roster. Yet he is still one of the top players of the game. His Dota 2 path just proves one doesn’t need to consistently top the professional rankings to be considered a successful player.

Building a Dota 2 legacy

It takes countless hours of training and practice to become a successful Dota 2 professional. Many aim for the peak but fall short of actually appearing at The International. It’s no different for Arteezy, who constantly looks to better himself as long as he competes. Arteezy discussed the importance of taking a break from intense training when asked just how much Dota 2 he plays personally.

“I play a lot usually. When I get home from a long boot camp, I have to stop myself from playing Dota 2 because I don’t want to burn myself out. … I eventually got pretty bored of it and I’m getting back into Dota 2 right now.”

Arteezy’s advice is hard to ignore given his many tournament and event wins despite the lack of the TI title. It would seem the number one important thing for any Dota 2 professional is to love the game immensely. This would also go for other esports titles regardless of platform. Arteezy’s commitment to bettering himself has shown in his performances. He continues to play with passion and dedication alongside his teammates on Evil Geniuses.

Moving forward

There are over 60 Dota 2 professionals that have taken home over $1 million in cash prizes. Many of the top players in the game haven’t even made it to the grand finals stage at TI. If Arteezy is any indication, Dota 2 players can be successful as long as they keep competing in tournaments.

Arteezy has currently competed for around seven years in professional Dota 2. It’s difficult to see the Canadian Carry drop out of the scene any time soon. It would be safe to assume that we can still see Arteezy raking in the wins and the prize money for many more years. There are always tournaments and events to take part in for one of the biggest esports titles in history. Who knows, we might even see Arteezy raise the Aegis of Champions one of these days. We’re sure that Evil Geniuses fans would love to see that.

eSports Career of Artour Babaev (Arteezy)

Before the start of his professional DotA 2 career, Arteezy was widely regarded as one of the world’s best mid players. Nevertheless, he had no plans of playing on the competitive scene due to his young age. Finally, in April 2013, he committed to a team and joined Kaipi for the summer. However, after a short period Artour left the team to focus on his studies.

In the following period, playing with different teams, Arteezy handily defeated some of the best mid-laners in the world, including Dendi and Mushi.

In the end of January, 2014, Arteezy joined iconic North American DotA players Saahil “UNiVeRsE” Arora and Clinton “Fear” Loomis, as well as former HoN players Peter “ppd” Dager and Ludwig “zai” Wåhlberg, to create S A D B O Y S, which had immediate success.

After winning 16 from 18 of their first matches, the team was announced as the new Evil Geniuses DotA 2 squad.

On April 29th Arteezy and his EG teammates were invited to compete in the most prestigious event – The International 2014. With top 3 finishes at three of the four major LANs prior to TI4, EG was one of the favorites to win the biggest tournament of the year. At TI4 they had a strong performance in the group stage, placing second with an 11-4 record. In the main event, the team managed to beat Team DK but fell to Newbee in the upper bracket.

In the bottom bracket finals, EG would face off against Vici Gaming. The final game of the series was a decisive loss for EG, causing many people to question Arteezy’s decision to pick up a late Hand of Midas. Artour and his teammates ended up going home with a 3rd place finish and $1,038,416 USD.

On January 6th, 2015, it was announced that Arteezy had joined Team Secret and he would now be playing the hard carry role.

The DotA 2 Asia Championships was Team Secret’s debut tournament. They quickly smashed the competitors, finishing with a 15-0 record behind solid play from Artour on his signature heroes Shadow Fiend and Lycan.

Secret could not ride this momentum through the upper bracket though, as they were defeated 2-1 by Vici Gaming in the upper bracket semi-finals. Secret would then face Big God in the lower bracket semi-finals and prevail with a score of 2-1. In the lower bracket finals, Artour would be defeated by his former team Evil Geniuses by a score of 2-0. Team Secret would rebound from their 3rd place finish at DAC by winning four straight tournaments: Redbull Battle Grounds: DotA 2, The Summit 3, MarsTV DotA 2 League 2015 Spring, and the ESL One Frankfurt 2015.

After poor results in The International 2016, Arteezy later departed Team Secret. On September 15th, 2016, he returned to Evil Geniuses in his old position of carry.

Hero on this videos : Terrorblade
According to https://dota2.fandom.com/wiki/Terrorblade , Terrorblade, the Demon Marauder, is a melee agility hero who grows to a devastating carry in the later stages of the game. Terrorblade has the highest starting armor in the game, but is squishy due to his low health, meaning he needs strength items to be tanky enough to sustain damage to himself and his illusions. As with all illusionbased heroes, he needs attributebased items in order to make his illusions powerful. He uses Reflection, which creates invulnerable illusions of all nearby enemy heroes for a few seconds. Conjure Image creates an illusion of Terrorblade that deals considerable damage at max level. Terrorblade can create up to two illusions, which together deal more damage than Terrorblade himself, effectively multiplying Terrorblade’s base damage (but not his bonus damage). Metamorphosis transforms Terrorblade into a powerful ranged demon capable of wreaking havoc on his enemies with its bonus range and damage. Metamorphosis also makes illusions of Terrorblade transform into his demonic form, but they revert back once they wander too far away from Terrorblade. Finally his ultimate, Sunder, swaps his health with a targeted hero, ally or enemy alike. This ability makes ganks on him incredibly risky since he can sunder a hero before finishing them off with a few attacks. With his two illusionbased abilities, the ‘semiultimate’ Metamorphosis and his ultimate, Sunder, Terrorblade’s skill set makes him a strong foe in the early game and absolutely terrifying at the later stages of the game. He is usually played as a hard carry.

EG vs VP – Arteezy (Artour Babaev) playing JUGG – Dota 2 CHONGQING MAJOR – Dota 2 Gameplay

Arteezy plays the SAFELANE (AKA FARM) Position and tries to carry against VP. Its pretty rough for Artuor, but I believe in the boys in BLUE
Very interesting seeing the lineup that EG picked, especially with SumaiL as NP mid. Maybe they want to push the hero mix and are trying a new meta.
